How it works

How the tax scheme reporting procedure is put in place

The procedure creates a systematic path for identifying, documenting and reporting tax schemes. Four steps.

  1. Review of the organisation

We examine the transaction structure, the people involved in the decisions and the existing procedures.

  2. Drafting the procedure

We draft a procedure with clearly defined roles, checklists and documentation templates.

  3. Templates and guidance

We prepare the supporting documents for the employees involved in identifying schemes.

  4. Training and roll-out

We train the team involved and support the roll-out during the first weeks.

Who the tax scheme procedure is for

The procedure is useful for businesses with a complex transaction structure, and for those that carry out demanding restructurings, mergers or transfers of assets from time to time. Instead of assessing single transactions, the business has a system in place that the people concerned, such as the finance director, the advisers and the project managers, can apply on a regular basis. That reduces the risk of a reportable transaction going unnoticed.

The procedure and the single review

The procedure is a continuous system. A review is a one-off examination of selected transactions. A business starts with a review where it wants to examine specific events. Where reportable transactions are a regular feature of the organisation, the procedure limits the risk of a reporting duty being overlooked in a systematic way.

Price and scope

The fee starts from EUR 2300 net and covers, as an example, one company and one procedure matched to its business. A larger organisation, a wider transaction profile or integration with the existing compliance procedures raises the price, and we confirm the fee before the work starts.

What the fee depends on

  • Size and complexity of the organisation
  • Number and profile of the transactions carried out
  • Extent of the integration required with the existing procedures of the business

We agree the fee individually, at an hourly rate or as a flat fee, and confirm it before we start.
